A Mother's Gift

A Story of Better Hearing

For several years we have supported KNPR, the local National Public Radio affiliate, by donating a pair of Starkey hearing aids to their fund-raising auctions. In this case, the winning bid was made by an exceptional mom to give new hearing aids to her equally-exceptional daughter. Catherine has a severe hearing loss. For years, Mom has told Catherine "There is nothing you can't accomplish", and apparently Catherine has taken Mom's advice to heart. Among her accomplishments, Catherine is a member of the USA Deaf Olympics Swim Team and is a 4-year high school lettered athlete with multiple awards in the 200 meter individual medley; she also plays violin, piano, flute and clarinet, and has been in "too many theater productions to count". To top it all off, Catherine has learned Japanese and is headed off for her sophomore college year to Japan, where she will take courses in her major, which is East Asian Studies. Not bad for all of 19 years old.

Quality Hearing Aids is extremely proud to be helping both Kit and Catherine, and we also believe. "There is nothing you can't accomplish"!
